Hi David,
I have read your excellent piece on Bob Browne. I used to work on the Post-Courier in the mid-80s, and remember him and his work with the greatest fondness.
He was one of those cartoonists who were always funny and relevant to the society around them.
He really knew how to communicate in PNG without causing offence, or preaching. And everyone – expats and nationals – loved Mista Grasruts.
I am writing for a purpose: I am the head of the Newspaper Publishers’ Association in Australia, and I would very much like to run your piece on Bob in our newspaper, The Bulletin (industry newspaper), and I’d like to put a small article on the website too.
So I am seeking your permission to do this.
If you could help out, I would be very grateful.
With thanks and kindest regards,
Mark Hollands
